Aaron has been working in the education Industry for the past 10 years as a Health and Physical Education teacher. As a youngster, Aaron would spend every evening in the park at the back of his house with his brothers and friends playing footy or cricket. It was in that park where his love for sport and playing sport grew. Aaron went on to play many sports growing up but it was his love for footy that dominated. He’s highlights included a premiership with VAFA side St. Bede’s Mentone Tigers in 2006, an epic 1 point win against Ajax after being 47 points down in the second quarter. The team then was coached by Western Bulldogs Premiership Coach Luke Beveridge. Aaron was selected to represent Vic Country in 2009 whilst playing footy in Ballarat, an experience he learnt a lot from.
Dale has been working in the education industry for the past 10 years as a teacher and in more recent times as a leading educator in schools around the world (Check out Dales work with Energetic Education). Dale was an extremely talented AFL and cricket player as a junior which led him to captaining the U’16s Victoria Country side for cricket. The skills obviously run in the Sidebottom family with Dale’s cousin Steele playing with AFL team Collingwood. Dale brings plenty of energy and enthusiasm to our clinics which the kids love and feed off. Despite all Dale’s great work in the Education Industry he credits his best work as being Sidey’s Super Quiz which runs at every clinic.
Zac is a Health and PE teacher who loves his sport but more importantly loves his coaching. Zac is currently the Senior Cricket XI batting and bowling coach out at the Clifton Hill Cricket Club. This was a natural progression for him after captaining the Boroondara Senior cricket club at the age of 21 and leading them to two premierships in his four year stint as well as winning two League Best and Fairests for himself along the way. Zac was also one cut away from being a member of the Melbourne Stars Cricket team, where he would have played along side the likes of Glenn Maxwell on the MCG. Also a talented footballer, Zac was a member of the VAFA Team of the Year after a strong season with Ivanhoe. The My Sport Buddy kids love Zac’s positivity and his ability to teach the fundamentals and advanced skills of footy and cricket in a fun way.
